Hon. Julius Debrah currently serves as Chief of Staff at the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana, where he plays a pivotal role in coordinating government affairs, ensuring policy alignment across ministries, and supporting the President’s executive agenda with strategic oversight and operational leadership.
A distinguished public servant and entrepreneur, Mr. Debrah brings decades of experience spanning governance, tourism, real estate, media, insurance, and construction. He is widely respected for his pragmatic leadership style, focus on results, and commitment to national development through collaboration between public and private sectors.
He previously served as:
Minister for Local Government & Rural Development
Regional Minister for both Greater Accra and the Eastern Region
Executive Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority
Julius Debrah holds a BA and MA in Archaeology and Sociology from the University of Ghana, with a focus on Museums and Heritage Studies. He is also an alumnus of JICA, having studied Sustainable Tourism Development in Okinawa, Japan, and completed archaeological studies in Norway.
Beyond public service, he is passionate about Ghana’s cultural and tourism heritage and remains involved in guiding heritage tours and advocating for responsible tourism and economic empowerment.
As Chief of Staff, he continues to provide visionary leadership and supports the government’s mission to deliver impactful governance, economic stability, and inclusive national growth.
